Cush-N-Tred acoustical underlayment features recycled rubber tires and superior density.

We strive to be as environmentally responsible as possible in the design, manufacture and delivery of our products. We incorporate recycled tire crumb into several of our lines and all of our products can be recycled. Fabricushion acoustical underlayments are Carpet and Rug Institute Green Label approved for indoor air quality.

Our underlayment products provide many benefits to homes and commercial locations under laminate and floating engineered wood floors. They can reduce transmission of sound and make laminate and engineered wood floors sound more like hardwood.

Many multi-level buildings require sound insulation under engineered wood and laminate floors to reduce sound transmission between floors. Most buildings having guidelines that will assist in your purchase. They make reference to minimum IIC and STC ratings that must be met.

IIC means "Impact Insulation Class" and measures the reduction of impact sound that may transfer from a floor to the room below (e.g. dropping things, walking). The higher the number, the less sound transferred.

STC means "Sound Transmission Class" It measures the reduction in airborne sound transferring through walls, floors and ceilings (e.g. music, talking). The higher the number, the less sound transferred.

QuietMAXX, QuietBLOCK and Cush-N-Tred acoustical underlayment products offer superior IIC and STC ratings and can be installed above and below grade.
